A photo of Darshan allegedly smoking with a coffee mug inside Parappana Agrahara Central Prison has sparked public outrage on social media. Furthermore, a video has emerged showing the actor having a video call with a fan. These incidents have raised concerns about the prison's security measures for its inmates. Following a previous denied request for home-cooked meals, Darshan's actions have resulted in an investigation, leading to the suspension of seven police officials. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has instructed DGIGP Alok Mohan to transfer Darshan to a different facility due to the growing criticism.
